The extension observes the changes on the youtube.com page and waits until the Ad appears instead of the desired video. Once that happens, extension mutes the audio of the ad and waits for the Skip Ad button to appear. When button becomes available it clicks it and un-mutes the video.
Simple as that!
The extension does not collect any data nor transfer it to the internet. It only clicks skip button on the Ad.
It only requests access to youtube.com website and does not read user data, it only clicks on the Skip Ad button.
